How many Mr. Robot people are there really in the real world compared to the general infosec community?

So like I asked someone at my local 2600 if they knew how often people who work in cyber by day do grey hat hacking by night. He said it happens but it’s very rare.

But my question is if you had to estimate how rare in terms of the percentage of the hacking community? 0.1% or more like 2%? I get that its not 10%.
