i understand this is not a tech support subreddit, i just want to know if this is a hacker i’m dealing with. i am freaking out. this is the SECOND time this has happened. PLEASE just read this and tell me IF it is a hacker.
for context:
- i use a 2015 Macbook
- i have been the only person to ever login to this mac aside from the previous owners, which had been years and years ago.
- prior to me getting the macbook, it was completely wiped clean
- i brought up the issue (as described below) to my uncle who works with computers. he ran a malware scan and it had found nothing.
- this issue has NEVER happened before, only in the last week it has happened twice. (computer has not sustained any damage or dangerous temperature levels)
onto my issue. twice in the last week i have been working on homework and shut my computer screen. then, upon lifting it back up, for a SECOND, someone else login page will show up on my page, and then immediately the screen goes back to whatever tab i was previously looking at, usually something in google docs.
the first time this happened, it was a purple wavy background and a screen prompting someone to sign in. then it just happened just now, and it was a green and blue background also prompting a login.
i am seriously stressing out over this. if anyone has any advice on if this is truly someone hacking me, it would be appreciated. i appreciate anyone and everyone that comments trying to help me, finals are due soon and this is very stressful
