| Hi everyone, I recently published a long-form technical guide on Nmap and I’d really like to get feedback from people who use it in real-world environments. The goal was not to make another “top 10 Nmap commands” article, but to build a structured guide that explains how Nmap works under the hood: host discovery, TCP/UDP scanning, service detection, OS fingerprinting, NSE scripts, timing/performance tuning, output formats, troubleshooting and practical scanning scenarios. I’m especially interested in feedback on: - technical accuracy - missing topics - parts that are too dense or unclear - whether the structure makes sense for both beginners and advanced users I’m still improving the guide, so any honest criticism is welcome.
