Mixed feelings when discovering an 8.0 vulnerability that has been patched since...

Just found a bad vulnerability on the devices of a pretty big company. Found it only because I hadn't updated the firmware on my device and was inspecting it now after 2 years since I bought it and don't know how to feel about it :|
