Say I needed to present a convincing argument to a company demonstrating they owe me a decent chunk of change for not properly safeguarding my personal info. To justify that chunk of change, I'm looking for a list of potential ways that their data leak could cause me financial harm - i.e., "your $50 payment will not suffice as just because I haven't suffered realized financial losses yet, does not mean I won't in the future". Please list the ways I could be affected according to the scenarios below.
Scenario 1 - Hackers accessed only email address + first and last name. What ways can someone exploit and/or gain access to that email account (even with MFA and changing passwords frequently)?
Scenario 2 - Hackers accessed first and last name, email address, physical address, and payment information. This one seems obvious, but the more creative the potential damage, the better.
