Are there any loopholes in Telegram security?

So I'm part of a group where when someone said something to the admin, the admin somehow extracted the details of the person. Is it that easy to get information from telegram? What kind of loophole is this? Is the work of any bot? I'm part of one other group which says if we leave the group, we'll be doxxed. How can I prevent doxxing?
