I know someone out there somewhere knows how to do this and I am desperate.
I need to know if there is a possibility of tracing a spoof text. They messaged my 17 year old daughter during school with "you need to move your vehicle or it will get towed" from X company but i called the company and they don't have any records of it. Long story short, her vehicle was not parked anywhere near school property so she doesn't have it registered in school under her name.
It is under my husbands name, both the registration and the insurance. Insurance shows her name but has only my husband's' and my information. But, they texted her directly when they should've texted my husband or myself since only our information comes out in anything related to the vehicle.
My husband is law enforcement and works for a special unit that can make him and us a possible target. I live on the border to Mexico and we have already had a few cases where they have attempted kidnapping with girls her age so it is very concerning.
Can anyone please help?
