Hello, I have a Dell Latitude 7520 laptop, and I need to replace the motherboard. My question is, is the fingerprint/power button not tied to the motherboard in a similar way as the Home button on iPhone devices? If so, how does it work? Is there some kind of microcode? If so, is it possible to copy it similarly to how it is done with a JCID reader for the Home button?
