I recall many moons ago when there were many full software versions that were trial-ware and held back by only a serial number. We could use a dis assembler and mod the assembly serial check to not jump out of the code when a bad serial was entered. We could reassemble and enter anything into the serial and had a full working software. Oh, them days was fun. Then the software programmers became smarter and they started checking for the disassembler. A ugly prompt would open up saying the disassembler software being used could not be used. I was sad. It was fun for a while just to see how things worked. Then it became hard. Doh.
