How do cookie logger links work?

I’m having some trouble finding this out through googling, yes I’ve already tried it.

No I’m not trying to steal Roblox accounts, if I was I’d get a free shit tool off GitHub.

How do cookie logger links work? I completely understand how malicious extensions or scripts/programs could but how can clicking a link exfiltrate one of your cookies?
