Is FXP still a thing?

Hey everyone,

like 20 years ago I was in several FXP groups, some smaller, some bigger. I thought I'd pretty sure find a subreddit for that here, but the search for an FXP subreddit didn't return anything. In the past most people where using some modded Serv-U FTP to share the server, phpmyadmin without any password was super common, MSSQL was pretty much a standard target and somehow you were better than many people if you were also able to shell a mysql server. Oracle was also super common via some Metasploit exploit, many hosters had open subnets which made it easy to takeover additional hosts with cain&abel, basically everything was as open as a barn doof. At that time you'd be really happy if you'd be able to get a gbit box, which is probably way more common as of today. I just thought it would be funny to see what's going on there today. What are the low hanging fruits for such stuff? Still the same as back then or something totally different?

tldr; I'm getting a bit nostalgic and wonder if FXP is still a thing and what are the targets everyone is going for today?

Also, it would be funny if some ex Monkeys On Mars member would read this. If so, feel free to leave me a message and have a little chat again😄
