If there was some sort of disaster/semi-apocalyptic scenario/general degradation of society, there would still be a huge number of computers, phones, and devices that would suddenly be a lot less useful than they are now.
My question is- how would YOU use them?
There are some interesting lofi tech like LoRa and Meshtastic, and having computers for entertainment, calculations, energy/infrastructure management, and communications would still be very useful. But I wondered what would r/hacking do with some of the devices that would be lying around. And I also wonder, would you have the skill and ability to turn a random laptop into something usable? Could you get past the password screen on a modern windows device or phone? Or would most devices become scrap?
As someone new to the field it's something I have been wondering.
