is it possible to get scammed by giving someone my paypal?

guys sorry if this is the wrong sub but i really dont know where else to put this tbh. theres this guy who asked me to draw his son (i do art commisions) and he insists that i give him my paypal. i looked through his facebook profile (hes texting me on messenger) and i put the profile picture through google lense and it showed some guy on tiktok with a completly different name, so this seems kind of fishy to me. is it possible that he is trying to scam me or get into my account somehow? i literally know nothing about this subject sorry!! also idk if the flair makes sense sorry for that too
