How to extract CVN from a tappable wristband?

Hi all, I've been gifted a very nice tappable transit wristband... but in order to use it, I need to provide the CVN to register it!

Problem is, although the "card" number (20 digits) is written on the back, the CVN isn't. Their website says that if you call them they'll give it to you, but only if you're the person that bought it.

Is there some way to find the CVN from the card number or by tapping it? Is it some sort of checksum that can be calculated?
