I have, for the past weeks, been receiving random text messages (SMS) containing media files (I de-activated the automatic download, I don't know what is in them).
The numbers come from my country (Canada). Sometimes, the same number calls, then they hung up. when I call them back, it's a person who has no idea that his or her number has been used to send a message and call.
Can anybody explain to me :
What is the purpose? what is the technique name that is used.
what can be done to prevent or change that.
