Is it possible to do IDN Homograph Attack without the victim's browser showing weird text?

Whenever I use BadURL to generate a URL and then copy and paste it in my browser, my browser "autocorrects" it and makes it look like a weird URL that starts with x and has dashes. Any idea how to prevent it from changing?
