We are a small team developing a service where we would love to get in touch with developers who use third-party dependencies regularly or occasionally, or git repo owners/team members.
What is our service: We are developing an instant low-barrier support service for git repositories, connecting people who want help with people able to give help, facilitating matching, payments and communication functions. So issues people are stuck with are being solved more quickly. We also want it to be a potential funding source for open source projects, by supporting them with a kickback from the help provided. We believe this could be of value to the communities of open software, and now want to validate that assumption.
To repo users: Please share any instant thoughts or feedback on the concept. All input is highly appreciated and valuable to us. And if you have 3 minutes to spare for our survey as well, we will be even more grateful: https://xuoaizrsuu7.typeform.com/to/Yhn9KnQ4
To repo owners/members: If you are a repo owner/member of a repo of 200-50 k stars, or know someone who is, we will be very grateful if you reach out. If possible, we are looking to set up an informal chat of 20 minutes with as many repo owners/members as we can. All tips and contributions would be highly appreciated, and could help us build a solution that better serves the community. If you dont have time for a chat at this current moment in time, we appreciate all feedback in this thread or answers to this survey: https://xuoaizrsuu7.typeform.com/to/SDnLiQRw
Thank you!
