Ethical Dilemma

I am not a hacker…just your average IT guy.

Situation: I am taking courses to become a certified life coach. The courses are all online. Being in IT, you learn how to search for things on the interwebs. All I did was search for the course name and “workbook” to try and find an additional study guide for the course. One of the search results led to someone else’s full application for accreditation including full name, address, age, ethnicity, email, organization, cover letter, college transcripts, notes from coach, references with email addresses and pages of history on the individual’s life experiences. I went up a level in the directory and gained access to more applicant’s info.

I have notified the upper echelon about this and all they did was remove the search entry…I can still access 84 people’s information and probably more in the future.

Question: what should I do now? I wouldn’t want my info to be accessible like that and am planning to apply, so I would see my name there as well…
