Fake AP/ Rogue AP

Hello everyone,

I am trying to tinker with the ALFA AP AWUS036NH, my goal is to make a fake AP that delivers the same SSID and password. i am trying to find how to make my fake AP overpower the real AP signal.

Do phones look at channels, Security, BSSID, ....? how can i check every OS on what parameters it decides what network SSID to show the user.
