As how I seen it, people usually first use Jack the Ripper to obtain a hash code and then put that hash code into hashcat.
I'm on windows and because someone thought it would be good idea to put a password on a 1999 album and link to a broken site I spent last hour reading about brute forcing but all is mentioning linux, not sure it's possible on windows cause Jack the Ripper is made just for linux?
