So I got an iMessage from an unknown number asking me “who is this” and claiming I had texted them. They shared a screenshot of a message from my number sent as an sms saying they should get to know their grandchildren.
Initially I suspect this to be some weird phishing attack, but after ending the conversation I’m a bit baffled. They got zero information and didn’t push for more.
I know the screenshot could have been fake. But did I fuck up by replying? If so how?
If I wasn’t a target, then what was going on? Any ideas?
