How do I learn scripting or to put simply 'code my own exploits/tools'?

I know the roadmap to become a hacker/pentester. Go on tryhackme until I eventually complete the offensive security course, then try HTB, start racking up certs, study hard for the PNPT and eJPT, and finally OSCP and start looking for an entry level job even better with a cybersecurity degree. The question I have is how do pentesters learn to code their own exploits I have a beginner to intermediate understanding of python, I just don't know where I can practice coding exploits like an actual pentester would. Any advice?
