Most domain name registrar sites (e.g. Google Domains, GoDaddy, etc.) allow you to protect your privacy when you purchase a domain name. Here is what Google says about their privacy protection.

Realistically though, if a domain has been purchased with this added security, are there still ways (even hacky ways) to find out who owns a domain?
I tried doing WHOIS look ups on a bunch of domains and all I get is this so it looks like the privacy protection is working.
