Hello, so I recently formatted my hard drive. I started having problems when Windows said that the disc was corrupted and unreadable. It was like a ghost drive, it had zero system volume information, and Windows would not read it. I have tried using "chkdsk" but that too aborted with an error "Unable to determine volume version and State. Chkdsk aborted". it makes a noise when it's plugged in. But it doesn't show a drive is even connected. Is this a problem I can fix with software or is the drive dead?
