Yesterday I started a conversation about the Flipper Zero device & how close it is to the PET device in Megaman Battle Network/NT Warrior. My idea was to change some of the basics of how the Flipper Zero works to have custom Net Navi, and a better leveling system for them. Which from my research the last few days should be fairly easy to implement once I get my device because it's basically just character swapping the already available character and then modifying how it levels. The hard part of the idea is building some type of battle system with in the Flipper Zero that can communicate with other devices nearby. & the use of some type of "battle chip" system. For the battle chips I was thinking of using cheap NFC tags like Amiibos use and coding them with different attacks, regen, buffs etc that could be used in battle. After brainstorming ideas within a few subreddits and with friends, I decided to see if Chat GPT could help me get past the barrier I was at since I've seen it help with tons of coding so far online. The first attempt I have some screenshots from the first round of asking it but they weren't too helpful because I was using Pokémon as an explanation for the battle system. But once I figured out how to get Chat GPT to understand Flipper Zero's capabilities AND how PETs from Megaman worked I had a good starting point to start getting ideas on how this battle system would work. Now my main issue is every time I feel like it's getting somewhere it just crashes. Idk if it's trying to process too much info and variables? But I'll attach my screen recording of the last attempt before it crashed. (**found out video isn't allowed which seems prehistoric so I'll just upload screenshots I guess**) My question to programmers out there is how legit does this system seem? I get it's just generalized from my questions and isn't able to be copy pasted and solve all the issues. But is the general idea correct on how I would implement this? [link] [comments] |
