I'm not allowed my own router's password

I don't think this is classified as tech support, and if it is, I apologize.

I just got a new internet service and the guy who came and set it up said that I can't have the admin password to my *own router* because "the interface isn't user friendly". So I can't make any network changes, at all. And I live in a house, not an apartment or anything. I paid for this service and should have access to the admin, right?

Anyway, he refuses to allow me access to my router so I'm wondering if there's a way I can do it myself.

I don't have the default admin info
The service is called "9 stone internet"
The router brand is "mikrotik"
