what would be better for hash cracking? 1 3080 ti or 3 1660 supers?

I'm building a budget password cracker and I know 1 3080 ti has more cores than 3 of the 1660s but I'm unsure if the multiple cards make a difference. If the 3080 is better I'll build a smaller footprint/more portable set up so I'd rather go that route but wanna make sure first.
