Hey, I’m just writing a story right now and one of my characters is a college student (21 years old) who hacks a few local political figures in her town. I’m not going to make her a full-on Hacker(TM) character because my own knowledge of computers doesn’t really extend to hacking. But I hope to make it at least somewhat realistic.
What are your pet peeves for hacking depictions in the media? What tips do you have on how to depict this with some realism and believability?
