Hey all. I'm being nostalgic and remembering a time around 2012 where i came across some software on a deepweb forum HackBB. Users boneless and optimusCrime were friends of mine and we exchanged tips and links. The software was used to find exploits in other software.
The example was to "crack" winrar. You would open this program, and then load the software you want into it. Then it would load the script into the cpu one block of code at a time. You could press the space bar to cycle through to the next block of code and you were able to edit and change the next code before it executes. The theory being when you get to the " activate now" option you can see what type of hash or passwords it may accept and reverse engineer it so you can create a generic crack that will allow it to generate passwords to activate the same software on any other computer.
I can't find it anymore. it's bee 10 years :(
Anyway it was mostly in English but had been converted from Russian i think. because some letters and menu's were giberish to me. The software had a female name like LISA, or Lili, or something lol i can't honestly remember. But anyway just wanted to see what sort of software exists today that is like that.
I think it may have been " IDA Disassembler "
