noob question: generally everyone has the same private ip..so if me and my neighbor has the same private ip ..cant i just talk to his computer? what if I did an nmap scan on my private network ..since everyone has the same private ip in my complex, then wouldn't I scan every neighbors ip at the same time. I presume that this is not logically possible.. so then what makes every 'same' private ip, different?
