Alternative to Google Takeout?

Is there an Alternative to Google Takeout that is used to backup Google Keep Notes?

I have tried to read a Google Takeout file and it is beyond me. Are there other Notes file formats that are easily read by MS Word, Acrobat Reader, , MS Notepad, that I could store the file on my external hard drive?
