I'm writing a novel , I'm not a good writer, it's for university, but I'm in the world of tech and hacking so I chose this topic. I'm really trying to find a credible way my hacker could explain to the police that he wasn't him that left that log behind.
What's would be real world excuses that an hacker would use if he/she left their IP behind? Botnet? Another person accessing the WiFi? What else more creative/unique?
Extra points if you are Italian, cause novel must be realistic and it's set in Italy (laws and everything)
