Hey all,
I really enjoy low-level hacking (pwn, RE), and currently work a day job as an IoT pentester mostly doing firmware source review and hardware hacking. I was browsing bug bounty sites and vuln disclosure policies for various video game vendors, and it seems like it could be a cool attack surface to get into. There are lots of cool write-ups like those from old secret.club posts or Jack Bakers talk from DEFCON about hacking the engines themselves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4weoWSzuCxs&t=1021s).
Why form a team around this? Because it's fun and I like hacking with other individuals. It makes the learning process much quicker and tends to keep me motivated when others are involved. Also, it would be cool to post research online and maybe even move into more advanced tech stacks in the future, where generally having more than one researcher is required (kernel, browser, etc).
If you are interested and have some VR or RE experience, feel free to add me on discord (stigward#3683).
