For context, I am in the IT field and looking to continue studying in the Cybersecurity world - Kali linux VM, HackTheBox, etc.
I have seen and heard the new M1 chips have not been friendly for this, but that there are some workarounds such as Fusions for VMs, homebrew for tools natively etc.
Is it really a pain to hack on the new M1 chips, and even if it is, will the tools be supported eventually?
I have an okayish but outdated Windows machine and older Macbook that has somewhat stopped working. I prefer Macbooks and have that Windows machine if needed, but would like to eventually use the new Macbook for everything.
TIA
