Need some advices. I am new to hardware hacking. I got an issue with my Bose soundlink mini 2. After 2 years I couldn’t charge it anymore, I thought… Bose offers a repair for 60€… forums says downgrading the firmware works… I used it with plugged in USB that works on Linux and Windows. But on Linux it also charges, on windows not. Same port, same pc. I think it’s a programmed thing to get people to pay for a reset. I wanna try to reverse engineer it, find evidences and f*ck Bose with a big international story. Next thing I would do is looking for serial access. Any ideas where to look for the Limitation of charging?
