I managed to write a mash up of the range attack and slow read, to wreck Apache servers
It can kill a self-hosted server in under 30 seconds while running on a single computer(while LOIC cannot really do much to it)
I also managed to take down a fake popup scam website(which are usually hosted on vps servers) with this tool in under 20 minutes, using only a single computer.
